A nude video of actor Jesse Williams captured during a Broadway performance has prompted an outcry from the producers and the union that represents actors and stage managers. The snippet, which shows the former Grey’s Anatomy star on stage during a shower scene, has been making the rounds on social media. The president of the Actors’ Equity Association has condemned the person responsible for filming the actor without his consent. The recording is also in violation of the theater’s prohibition on recording and distribution rules. Williams is starring in a revival of the play Take Me Out , which explores what happens when a Major League Baseball superstar comes out as gay. Williams earned a Tony Award nomination Monday for playing the role. Audience members arriving at the theater are required to surrender their phones until the end of the show. The company said it would increase security in the wake of the violation.
