One of the two men who were mobbed by residents after they reportedly stole ten goats in St. Thomas on Monday has been charged. Twenty-three year-old Shamar O’Meally, of a St. Andrew address, is to appear before the St. Thomas Parish Court on Friday to answer to the charge of simple larceny. About 11 o’clock Monday morning, residents alerted the police about three men transporting stolen goats in a car. The residents reportedly intercepted the vehicle and mobbed the men. When the police arrived they saw a man with chop wounds and the goats in the vehicle. The other man died at hospital. He has been identified only as Jermaine.
