World Championship finalist Ackeem Bloomfield sped to 45.07 seconds to win the 400 meters at the Back to the Track meet in Clermont, Florida on Friday evening. Bloomfield finished ahead of American Josephus Lyles in the two man race, with Lyles clocking 45.40 seconds. Olympic champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo posted a world-leading 10.98 seconds to capture the women’s 100 meters. The olympic 400m champion becomes just the fourth woman to ever run sub-11 seconds for 100m, sub-22 for 200m and sub-49 for 400m. Jamaican Natalliah Whyte was fourth in 11.19 seconds. Nickel Ashmeade making a return to the track, ended fifth in the 100 meters in 10.16 seconds. The event was won by American Noah Lyles in a wind-assisted 9.93 seconds, ahead of Andre de Grasse, who ran 9.97 in both his heat and final. Another Jamaican, Andre Ewers was sixth in 10.17 secs.
